NEXUS CHRONICLES

Short and scrawny, Muse, as he calls himself, is merely a pale semblance of the mythological unicorn. He's utterly emaciated, nothing but skin and bones. The imprints of his ribs (as well as the rest of his skeleton) is clearly visible through his thin layer of fur. In color he is muted beige-yellow tones and markingless. Muse's mane and tail are a silky off-white hue, and are both very long, trailing toward the ground in a fall of sweeping cobweb silk. His tail hair continues from the underside of the base of his tail, to the very tip where it ends in a lion-like tuft. Muses horn is the same hue as his mane, and trails straight out, a good foot in length.

Muse sports several...odd traits, unfamiliar to the average equine-type beast. His forehooves have been split into half-formed fingers, lacking thumb, but otherwise just as dexterous as the human finger. Up to the elbow, his forelimbs resemble the human arm, after which they take on a more equine-like state. His eyes are blank white, lacking pupil, iris, and color, but he is not blind. Also, rather than sporting flat, herbivore suited teeth, Muse has an elongated, reptilian like mouth filled with enlarged, razor sharp teeth.

Muse's constant companion, a sentient spider by the name of Esix, lives in the hairs of his tail, and can often be seen weaving his own silk through the threads.

Muse's personality is lacking in any one definition. He can be described as shy and wary, but not all together bright. The entire confines of his intelligence are limited to unrestrained and chaotic creativity. He's inspired by the simplest things and can evoke the same state of inspiration on anyone he passes.

Muse has a child-like innocence to him, present only his mind, as it would be impossible to describe such a monstrosity as himself as innocent or child-like. He's naive and chaste, with an unbridled sense of curiosity.

Muse is mute, completely incapable of both verbal and telepathic speech. His thoughts cannot be heard, and one could say he doesn't actual have them. He is sentient though, but portrays his thoughts through a series of images and feelings he can emit onto those of his choosing.

A small, black spider has taken residence in the hairs of Muse's tail; Esix. Esix is fully sentient and capable of mind speech. He has an unnatural lifespan, and may very well outlive Muse. Esix is not attached to Muse's tail, but he has become a permanent resident of it. When he does decide to up and leave (which does happen on occasion, but not for very long), Muse falls into a deep depression. He will not eat or sleep until Esix returns.

Esix is incredibly possessive of Muse, and can be said to have unnatural and unhealthy feelings towards him. He doesn't approve of Muse bonding a dragon.
