Personality

Amaryxis watched those old earth Jurassic Park movies a few too many times; all that insistence that he looks like a prehistoric reptile himself. Amaryxis doesn't have any interest in dinosaurs thought - but he sure thinks it would be amazing to resurrect some extinct insects and arachnids. The Refugium is all about protecting endangered species, but they have the technology to bring back extinct ones. Why not start with some relatively small first? Relative being the key word, as Amaryxis' studies aren't just of earth arthropods - they're of arthropods from worlds across the Nexus and many of them are enormous. Amaryxis is fascinated to the point of romanticism with arthropod life. Simplistic, organized structures and - honestly - such an optimized lifeform. Something to be admired, for certain.

Amaryxis is a bit of an eccentric, but he's not without his charms. He's a sociable fellow who loves a captive audience for his field of study. He's a nerd and quite happy about the fact. He loves listening to other people's passion projects and lights up at long spiels of information. There's no such thing as an infodump or too much exposition as far as Amaryxis is concerned!
