Personality

Heliodoro lives, breathes, and exists for the sport of hydroball. He was a star forward in his youth and carries his love of the game into coaching the Refugium's various local teams. He values agility and speed in his players and is always pushing his team to go faster, with alacrity, guys! Toward his professional players (and himself) he's quite the perfectionist and can get wrapped up in pursuing victories, forgetting his empathy when things get dire. But with new players and youths just trying out the sport? He's a real papa-bear, paternal, protective, and full of praise. Heliodoro loves getting new people involved in the sport and has all the patience of the deep ocean when it comes to newbies.

Heliodoro loves taking care of his team. He's always got snacks and refreshments on him and mother hens his players into taking care of themselves. His perfectionism and steely facade fades away once the game is over and he's a reliable shoulder to lean on.
