Icar is self-confident and knows his own value. He's difficult to insult because of this and brushes off people's attempts with ease. He has empathy and insight aplenty and has a habit of looking right through people who set out to hurt him. He'll be the first to offer an olive branch to his enemies. He's got no ego or reason to save face, and nothing is more important to him than a thriving community that cares about one another. Icar will insert himself into conflict with other villagers in attempt to mediate them. He doesn't tolerate petty grievances and insists people air their issues and get over them.
Icar enjoys the simple things in life. Watching sunsets, the sweat of a hard day's work, the joy in watching his fishery bloom with new fries. Moving to Sunfall has been a dream for him and he loves his life here. The only thing he lacks is deeper, permanent company. Being the only wholly-aquatic resident on Sunfall has its downsides and Icar is lonely. He thrives on festival days at the beach and new arrivals eager to learn his trade. He'd love to have a family of his own one day and is a deeply romantic man. He's atrocious at recognizing anyone else's attraction toward him and assumes all flirting is just friendliness.
Icar was brought to the Nexus via a dimensional rift. He approached it cautiously, worried it might endanger his people, and was sucked into a new world, wholly unlike his own. Icar found his way to Mwari Station which had accommodations for water-bound people. Adjusting to life here was difficulty. War remained in his blood and all he knew was battle. Icar turned to recreational fighting pits and part-time security jobs. Mwari station was a busier place than he'd ever seen and Icar felt (quite literally) like a fish out of water.
Several years into his citizenship on Mwari, Icar got word of a Zar-Heimdall colonization project. A small moon had been partially terraformed and was ready to be developed and expanded. Advertisements promised a quiet, idyllic life and the chance to help out displaced people find a new home. Icar was besotted with the romanticism of it. He signed up immediately.
Icar's processing required several months of study before he was assigned to fishery management - something his biology made him uniquely attuned for.
Icar was ecstatic when he heard about coral dragons on Lantessama. These seem like an awesome answer to his loneliness and would be an invaluable asset for Sunfall. He snatched up the opportunity to visit Syl'Neriss and stand at a clutch.
capable of breathing both water and air
DARKVISIONcapable of seeing in dim light up to 60 feet as if it were bright light, and in darkness as if it were dim light
FURY OF THE TIDESFor short periods Icar can summon and control massive tidal waves to attack his enemies.
MARINE AFFINITYIcar can sense minute changes in the water, allowing him to sense approaching creatures and predict weather. This gives him an uncanny ability to tell when conditions are off for the health of marine life.
