Personality

Proud, confident, and strong-willed, Kaba is the authority over the other longs that joined the Refugium. Even luungs from other families recognize her competence and experience. Like many luungs, her pride can get the best of her and she can be dismissive of humans (and other aliens) who don't pay her the respect she desires. Overall, she is accommodating to the Refugium's scientists and is eager to help her family line - and the lines of all luungs - to continue with the station's help. She can be brusque without realizing it and often requires her bond's aid in interacting with potential candidates so as not to discourage them.

Kaba has a matronly air and quickly becomes protective and nurturing over those she accepts into her fold. She is level-headed, not often taken by surprise, and regards novel situations with a nonplussed demeanor. She is a capable fighter and will face any challenge to her honor or her loved one's head on. Her bravery has turned to hubris in the past, but she learns from her mistakes and takes cautions when accepting challenges. She considers herself a matriarch of the Runike clan.
