Personality

Shy and slow to trust, Tono's peers were flabbergasted when he decided to join the Refugium. He cares deeply about his people and doesn't want his clan line to end, so as much as it pains him to be around strangers, he has taken up the mantel. He's reclusive and avoids interaction with aliens as much as possible. He'll offer terse answers to inquiring minds, particularly the refugium biologists, but mostly wants to be left to himself. He's skeptical in nature and questions everything presented to him, demanding proof before he agrees to anything. By nature, he is a curious fellow and loves to learn, but he often doesn't feel he's offered a safe environment to do so.

Tono doesn't trust the refugium's staff or search riders to find appropriate bonds for his offspring, and will stringently interrogate anyone he spots hanging around the nests. He knows how important this is and doesn't want to frighten off potential bonders, but he does want to make sure his children have the most optimal pairs. He can come off as irritable and ill-tempered, lacking patience and tact.
