Mariilya's Amaranthus

Personality:
Shy and wary of the world around her, Amaranthus is quick to hide behind her bond when faced with novel situations. She's deeply introverted, nearly to the point of social anxiety. Being snatched away from her home, experimented on, and thrust toward a group of strangers will do that to you. Despite the trouble she faced in her earliest days, Amaranthus truly wishes to be kind. She's nurturing and patient, but prefers to direct her attentions toward plants rather than people. Plants are much simpler and they'll never betray her.

Background:
Amaranthus had a close, loving family with several older siblings. Her parents were companions, noulicorns who worked to soothe to soul and body of others in the homewood. Prior to the Heimdall, she was attentive and inquisitive, if still a little shy. She remembers the fear of being separated from her family after Grandfather Tree transported them to the Heimdall. She doesn't like what was done to her to make her need a bond.

Khonya's Balsam

Personality:
Bright and curious, Balsam is the sort of buck to always ask "why." He's oblivious to any notion that he might be annoying - there's far more important things to concern himself with. Like, how does his magic even work? Are Ancestors related to the noulicorns? Where will he and Khonya go next? He's warm, delightful, and amiable in nature. He's always up for making friends and trying new things. Balsam is as keen as he is curious, brimming with intelligence and the desire to learn.

Background:
Very young and mostly naive to the workings of the world, Balsam accepted the move to the Heimdall easily. He does miss his parents and hope he'll see them again soon, but he's just as happy making new friends and learning all about this bigger, stranger world.

Personality:
Patient and pondering, Eikthyrnir likes to contemplate all angles of an action before he makes a decision. He's deeply aware of consequences and wants to minimize harm as much as he can. He cares for people, although he rarely shows his affections. He's steadfast and resolute, ready to speak up for the voiceless. He wants his life to mean something, to make a difference for those around him. Eikthyrnir is supportive of his bond and follows in his footsteps of moderation and self-control.

Background:
VOne of the older fawns taken by the Heimdall, Eikthyrnir chose to leave with his stonesmith mother, rather than remain at Homewood with his father and siblings. He wanted to do his part for Grandfather Tree. When he arrived at the Heimdall he felt nothing but betrayal. Everything he thought he knew was wrong. He took to caring for the other fawns and trying to make the best out of a terrible situation. He wants to create real change in the world, however he can.

Aciis' Hibiscus

Personality:
Hibiscus thrives of chaos and novelty. He loves going against the grain, doing the unexpected, and being told no makes him push all the harder to be contrary. He despises monotony and is easily bored - a change of scenery, new people, new games are important to keep him from becoming destructive. Hibiscus has a habit of whirlwinding through a project and leaving all sorts of chaos in his wake. Once something new has grabbed his attention, he leaps into it with no thought for any previous unfinished things. He's upbeat and sociable, and adores attention - good and bad!

Background:
The wild child of a healer and a herald, Hibiscus was impossible to keep track of. He was constantly running off to dangerous areas to explore forbidden tunnels and chasms - only to be marched home when scouts found him for a stern reprimand. He had no opinions at all when Grandfather Tree called, but both of his parents were answering the summons and he was herded along. It was only the promise of something completely new that kept him in line. He's taken the Heimdall in stride but has managed to slip away from the scientists more than once during his stay.

Bracken's Letharia

Balefire Resistance: while not entirely immune, Letharia has more resistance to most to balefire corruption thanks to a bit of fiddling from Dr. Krum and her geneticists.
Spore: the user releases a cloud of fungus spores that quickly disperse in the air
Bud: by allowing a fungus to grow on them, the user can communicate with other fungi of the same species
Ferment: the user causes fruit or fruit juices to immediately ferment

Personality:
Quiet and soft-spoken, but never shy; Letharia is a curious doe whose got her eyes open to the inner mechanisms of the world. So many people crawling with ambitions, willing to fight and sacrifice to get what they want - Letharia observes but she doesn't feel the same drive. Letharia loves acquiring new experiences and has hopes she and Bracken will manage quite a bit of travelling together. She finds people to be endlessly entertaining, but Letharia lacks a real sense of empathy. She appears kind and generous as she's often willing to lend a  helping hoof to those in need, but she does so primarily to view people's reactions. She thrives in social settings and loves to people-watch. Whatever Bracken decides to make of himself, Letharia will be happy - as long as they've got ample company during their journey.

Background:
Letharia grew up on the fringes of the Barrens, just outside of Homewood. Her parents were both wanderers and would leave Letharia in the care of Homewood nannies if they felt their next journey would be too dangerous for a young fawn. Letharia volunteered of her own accord to answer Grandfather Tree's summons. Her parents are likely still alive on Vykeli, but she feels no urge to be reunited with them.

Fadil's Leukippos

Personality:
Leukippos is a smooth-talking people pleaser, the sort of fellow who would make an excellent con man but is gripped by the empathy and compassion not to. He is, never-the-less, quite ambitious and will encourage Fadil to remain in power for as long as possible. Leukippos adores people - and adores their adoration for him. He's out to make as many friends as he can and is eager to prove himself as invaluable. While generally genial and charismatic, Leukippos tends to be controlling. He can be bossy and overconfident when the situation warrants it and hates not getting his way.

Background:
Leukippos is one of the few fawns with ties to Homewood's council. His mother was a council member, and one of the few with young children to accept Grandfather Tree's summons. Leukippos had  hoped to follow in his mother's hoofsteps and become a politician as well. He sees the move to Heimdall and the need to bond as a boon.

Haarilla's Lore

Personality:
A lively little doe with a capricious temperament, Lore will certainly keep Haarilla on her toes! Lore is always ready for her next big adventure and if something isn't around the corner, she'll create one. She's outgoing, charming, and tends to draw people toward her through sheer force of personality. Lore's boundless energy needs constant outlets or she'll get herself into trouble. Lore hates being bound by rules and customs, leaving her with a tendency to get into trouble - but she's quick to appease her elders in hopes of wheedling her way out of reprimand.

Background:
Always a trouble maker, Lore was the youngest of her siblings and constantly getting into mischief. When her parents brought up Grandfather Tree's call, she didn't completely understand everything they were saying, but was eager to start another grand adventure!

Taenion's Mykolas

Personality:
Mykolas is quiet but far from timid. He's observant, sharp, and often ruthless - meaning he's quite willing to use the information he gathers against enemies. Fortunately, Mykolas isn't in the habit of being antagonistic toward people, but he's protective of Taenion and vehement that he won't allow himself to be taken advantage of. He can thrive in any environment and quickly adapts to changes. On the whole, he's introverted with a general dislike for crowds, but is deeply fond of his bond and hates to be without Taenion's company.

Background:
Mykolas was older than most of the fawns taken to the Heimdall. He was skeptical about answering the Grandfather Tree's call, but too devoted to his parents not to go with them. His mother was a vigilant scout (akin to a protector or warrior) while his other parent a well-respected sage. Mykolas wanted to grow up to be someone just as vital and important to Homewood.

Grey David's Namid

Personality:
Namid is certain he can rely upon Grey David to help him through the troubles he's faced, but he wants to be able to repay that in kind. Namid yearns to be helpful. Whether it's holding tools for a handyman or being a shoulder to cry on, Namid is a dependable young buck who is eager to prove his worth. Namid feels there's no place for cockiness when there's work to be done. Better to ask for aid than fumble things and cause more harm. He's sturdy, stable, and clear-headed, but open and honest enough with himself to recognize he has his own traumas to deal with. He doesn't inhibit his emotions - he wouldn't even if he knew how - but he sometimes leans toward the dramatic. He desires closeness and companionship and is utterly terrified of solitude.

Background:
Namid was raised by two mothers and a father, with quite the extended family who were all deeply involved in his upbringing. His parents were prolific gardeners for Homewood and Namid enjoyed learning what he could of the trade without being properly involved (too young to be constantly underhoof!) Grandfather Tree's call caused tension in his family. Two of his parents wanted to go, while one of his mothers wished to remain in Homewood with the children. Namid was torn. The idea of being separated from any of his family was terrifying but he had to make a decision. He felt leaving was probably the harder choice, so decided to join his two parents on their trek to help support them. Waking in the Heimdall alone was the worst feeling Namid had ever experienced.

Blindsight's Qianlima

Personality:
Qianlima is ready to join Blindsight in getting into trouble. She's endlessly curious and always eager for a bit of fun. She's easily bored by the same old games played over and over, and her creativity is a bane as much as it is a boon. She's quick to come up with new adventures to play out, but she's as likely to get herself in a sticky situation as she is a fun one. Qianlima is a little ball of chaos - energetic, sassy, spirited, and unstoppable. Her prancing, playful nature makes and utterly devilish deviant.

Background:
Qianlima is one of the youngest fawns taken aboard the Heimdall. Her parents were scouts, constantly on the move and leaving her in the care of nannies, so she's used to being without them... and always surrounded by kids her age! She's not sure what all the fuss is about but it's probably important grown up stuff, so that's boring.

Nishi's Sahar

Personality:
Warm and welcoming, Sahar is endlessly curious about other people. New places. New adventures. She's idealistic and forgiving, far more interested in striving toward the future than dwelling in the past. Sahar cares a little more about leaving things amiable than her bond does, but she won't prioritize people over the chance of new experiences. Sahar is reliable, though. She'll complete any task given to her and do so with gusto. She loves to be helpful and doesn't require anything in return apart from opportunities for new experiences. She's high-spirited with sunny optimism than can often be overwhelming.

Background:
Sahar and her family aren't from Homewood. They're wanderers, and ones who rarely ventured into the more populated regions. Sahar wanted to grow up to be a famous wanderer as well; the first to discover something completely new and amazing! For her, being taken to the Heimdall has been nothing but excitement and a chance to fulfill her dreams.

Yaalina's Sunscape

Personality:
Dependable and industrious, Sunscape is ready and willing to help Yaalina with her mad science - and Sunscape isn't going to pause to think about consequences either. She's very much an enabler; steadfast, stalwart, and willing to put in the elbow grease to see things through, no matter the difficulty. A few mishaps isn't enough to deter this doe! Sunscape is less of a creative and more of a good lackey and a bit of muscle. She's always prepared for disaster but never disheartened by its arrival. She has an easy confidence and doesn't take rumors or insults to heart.

Background:
Sunscape's parents were Expanders, noulicorns who helped ready the land for new growth. Sunscape was always eager to help her parents with their work and was constantly underfoot. Her family were very dutiful and dependable. It was only natural for them to accept Grandfather Tree's summons. Sunscape does wonder where her parents are now, but she's assured they're aiding Grandfather Tree.
