Personality

Hard-working, tenacious, and independent. Balin is largely a figurehead for the Heimdall now, his days of charging a starfleet into battle long passed, but his knowledge and experience are invaluable. He often sends his bond to oversee the fleets and trusts Elkini fully. A rare thing, as Balin doesn't often trust anyone. He's watchful and wary, always on the look-out for ne'er do-wells within the organization itself. The Rosenheim name holds meaning in the Heimdall, but largely through Balin's wife. He's not a demonstrative or affectionate man, but he regrets not being more involved in his childrens' lives.
