Glittering, serpentine dragons danced through the air across the screen, sparkling in opalescent tones more lovely than any jewel.
"They're something," said Uezova, seated by Lindine's hip. "If they're proper dragons than so I am."
"Of course you are, my dear." Lindine grabbed Uezova's cheeks and planted a messy kiss on the terigon's forehead. "Those little gem dragons are rather tempting though, aren't they?"
"They're pretty cute." Uezova scrutinized the vidscreen. "But hatchlings will be difficult to juggle with our jobs."
"They're so small, though! Imagine a pern sized dragonet stromping through the museum, they'd pulverize the fossils." Lindine flicked off the screen and ducked his head into the main hall. A few visitors milled around the educational datapads outside the film room. "These little gem dragons will fit right in." He shot Uezova a knowing look. "And you'd certainly help me raise one, wouldn't you?"
Uezova puffed out his cheeks, making a show of considering his answer. He didn't need to. Lindine knew the little terigon well, and while he might boast that he was the most responsible of the two of them, he also enjoyed some new mischief now and again.
"Alright, alright," said Uezova, bounding out of the room. "Go ahead and sign up for it, but we've got to give the staff a head's up. No surprise hatchlings in this museum."
Lindine laughed cheerily as he followed Uezova down the hall.
