PART 05: Departure
Kutoth vetoed no one from the trip. Eukith collected dozens of applications, replied swiftly with the departure dates, allowing everyone to take their time deciding if this was the correct move for them. Small or not, bonding and raising a dragon wasn't an idle decision to take lightly. When the date of departure arrived, the Refugium's hangar bay hosted a myriad of species awaiting their turn to board The White Serpent. Eukith and Tiax waited at the landing platform, hands and hooves moving swiftly over the manifesto.

"This was an excellent idea," said Kutoth, appearing over the siblings' shoulder.

:: It's a bigger turnout than I expected. :: Eukith's claws danced wildly over her datapad. :: Not everyone is coming along for the clutch, though. Some of these people just want to visit the Isle. ::

:: They've started playing hydroball at Lantessama! :: Tiax added with sharp surprise. :: I love watching hydroball. I hope we get the chance to see a game while we're there. ::

"Do they?" Kutoth rubbed his chin ponderously. If he could get in touch with the Laedryss is might behoove him to suggest an interagency tournament. It could only benefit the Nexus to have alliance strengthening activities. He'd look into it.

:: You're coming along too? :: asked Eukith, pausing in her frantic typing.

"I am, yes."

:: For the clutch? ::

Kutoth considered it at length. He'd gone bondless for millennia but his life was radically different than how it had once been. He longer desired vast audiences of fawning patrons or servile subjects. He liked the quiet and comfort of his own company. But he wanted a bond. Someone that was his, a partner in the truest sense. The gem aspect of this little dragons hadn't been what caught his attention. After all, he had once been the Prince of Ivory, bone and tooth was more his style. But serpents remained his motif and these lovely beings were very snakelike.

"Yes." Kutoth smiled, soft and graceful. "I will be."
