Alice knows full well the Heimdall is ethically ambiguous, she's aware of the multitude of sins and atrocities in its history. But she also knows of its glory, the good it's achieved for those who use its services. She believes in the Heimdall and thinks its place in the universe is a necessary one. She prioritizes mission objectives and accomplishments over the lives of her team and expects her squadrons to be as dedicated as she is. If they are unwilling to recognize that sacrifice may be necessary, she will have them transferred. Alice has no desire to force anyone into a situation they don't agree with or can't handle. She'll start transfer papers for anyone who needs them, no shame, no questions asked. If someone doesn't make the cut, that's all she needs to know.
Alice despises the way her older brother (Aurich) was coddled. Kept safe from the dangers of military life and allowed to become an officer for the flimsiest of reasons. Alice believes she, not him, should inherit the title of General when their mother passes away. Despite her envy of her brother's position, she doesn't hate him. She feels a great deal of affection and loyalty toward her family, but wishes The General would take her blinders off when it comes to Aurich's abilities in comparison to Alice's.
Alice insisted on being put on the frontlines, to really learn what it means to fight for the Heimdall. She didn't want special treatment because of her name or heritage. Alice quickly gained experience and loyal teammates who followed her when she earned a command position.
At nineteen The General approached her with a proposition. Knowing Alice had no interest in romance or caring for her own family, but wanting to continue the Rosenheim lineage, The General inquired if Alice was willing to have kids. The Heimdall would raise them, Alice need not take more time than necessary off the battlefield.
Knowing this was likely a way to increase her status on The Heimdall and bring her closer to being in line for the next general, Alice agreed.
Alice and The General chose an appropriate father - Nacht, a military commander himself - and with little fanfare Alice had her first child: a son, named Romeo. During gestation Dr. Krum was permitted to tamper and adjust genetics to create a future super soldier and perfect heir to the Rosenheim name.
As promised, Romeo was raised by staff on The Heimdall and Alice returned to her squad and the rage of battle.
Alice would have one more child two years later (age twenty-one) under the same circumstances. A daughter, Primrose.
Alice was rarely involved in her children's lives. She visited when she was aboard the Heimdall and enjoyed hearing about their training progress and exploits, but her relationship toward them was more like a distant aunt than a mother. Her brother, Aurich, was much more active in their lives and quickly became a favored uncle.
Alice earned her rank of commander at thirty, after a string of successful battles, clearing hostile invading aliens from a resource-rich and inhabited planet. She considers her promotion to commander one of her greatest achievements.
At will and without limitation, Alice can shift into a Deustche Pferd Hund des Kriege, a massive German war dog bred for strength and bravery. In her dog form, Aliceis 42" at the withers and built for strength and stamina. Her coat color is "strawberry roan snowcap appaloosa with snowflake". She retains her ability to rationalize as a sapient being, but can't communicate with verbal language.
Dietlinde returns to the Heimdall with her new dragon. Aurich and Alice are worried about their place in the Rosenheim legacy and seek bonds of their own.
Alice and Aurich return to the Heimdall to introduce their new bonds.
