Personality
A young cleric of Alaram, Lomeelian god of travel, Najaat chose to become an adventurer to better serve the teachings of her deity. She is loyal to Alaram and kindly to those who worship his allies, but can be hot-tempered and cruel to those who disrespect the gods. Her healing is as much born from magic as it is study and hard work. Not every wound can be cured with a spell, and Najaat has a keen interest in diseases and maladies of the mind. She is endlessly grateful to Alaram for taking an interest in her and granting her magic, but believes this is just an aid in her study of medicine, not a crutch she should lean on forever. She is intelligent, well-spoken, and unafraid to share her opinions. Najaat has a tendency to be judgmental of others' "worthiness" toward a cause. Never-the-less, she tries to be kind and truly wants a better, safer world where everyone can pursue their passions.While Najaat presents herself as confident and collected, she's often critical of herself and can't help but compare he progress to others'. She wants to make a difference in her field and it's difficult for her to accept her failures - or accept the knowledge that she's simply young and inexperienced. She's often envious of others' accomplishments but tries hard to keep this to herself and remain professional around her peers.
Background
Najaat was born on Vacillate to fairly affluent parents who worked in an herbalist guild, specializing in medications and tinctures, as well as studying the origin of diseases. Her childhood was filled with exploration, curiosity, and studies. She loved to learn; devouring books, bothering visiting sages, and constantly examining the world around her to gather as much information as possible.Alaram himself visited Najaat's parents' guild and took an interest in the curious child. He kept watch on her after this, visiting over the years. He was impressed by her display of ingenuity and creativity helping a patient with an undiscovered disease, and for her efforts, Alaram blessed Najaat with his divine magic.
To thank Alaram, Najaat vowed to leave her parents' guild and explore the wider world of Lomeelas (and beyond).
