Personality
Torwenys wants to be the sort of hero that goes down in history books. She's very young (especially for an elf) and largely inexperienced, but she's worked hard at learning how to wield a sword ever since she was strong enough to carry one. She believes strongly in doing what's right and has a rigid moral code, but she's slowly learning that the world isn't divided cleanly into "good" and "evil." Compromise is difficult for her but she tries to take the time to think through a situation before making snap judgments. Ultimately, she's difficult to sway from gut reactions but she tries to see alternatives, even if she's not particularly good at it yet.Torwenys is a brutal fighter, using strength and merciless blows to push back her opponents. While she prefers a great sword she has a natural talent with weapons and is comfortable improvising when she has to. She is protective of her party, her loved ones, and her community, and thinks of them when she takes arms against deadly enemies. She wants to destroy Cassimir - both for the sake of her family, and for the fame that would come with dealing a deadly blow against him. Torwenys enjoys being the center of attention and can become bitter if she feels she's being ignored.
Background
Torwenys is the youngest of three siblings, born long after her older siblings reached their first century and left home. Her childhood was modest and pleasant, and she grew up in a mosaic town of many races.Some of her earliest memories are of a freed gladiator earth genasi, Zahar, who lived near her home. She would visit him frequently, bringing him baked goods in exchange for stories of his life in the pits. Zahar was the first person to put a sword in Torwenys hands and begin to teach her the art of sword fighting. He was an instrumental mentor in her upbringing.
Her uncle Hjaldur offered to mentor her as an adventurer once she reached adulthood, and she's been exploring the corners of Lomeelas with him ever since, building her skills and helping those who need her.
